This interesting sterling silver bypass ring has an open design lotus flower with an Om symbol in the center, while the stem wraps around the finger, ending in a leaf design that bypasses the lotus. Easy gift for most since it's adjustable! Buddhists liken the unfolding of the lotus petals to the unfolding of the divine within the human self. The closed bloom represents the heart with infinite enlightenment potential; the open blossom represents the enlightened self. The Om (or Aum) sign is the main symbol of Hinduism; it signifies God, Creation, & the One-ness of all creation. The three portions of AUM relate to waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. The letters also indicate three planes of existence: heaven, earth, and netherworld. Aum is said to be the essence of the Vedas and is considered to be the sound of the Sun and the sound of Light.
